Thermophysical properties of biomass

 

For an energetic optimization of the process, and for designing and operating essential system components of a biogas plant like pumps, stirring devices, pipelines or heat exchangers, the thermophysical properties of fermenter content, digestate and feeding substrates are of great importance. To that end, thermophysical properties like density, viscosity and specific heat capacity are being analyzed.
